Special Thank-You to Special People!

All of you are very special and have been overloaded with many EXTRAS these past few months. We just want you to know that we appreciate all you do everyday to make Diggs-Latham a great place to learn and work!

The Book Fair was a great success.  It takes a lot of work from Mrs. Uhrig, Ms.Pullen and Mrs. Piper plus a host of volunteers to pull this most important event off.  Thank You All!

Thank you to ChairWoman Mrs. Faqih and her committee plus all of you! This event was very well attended and the children had a great time.  Thank you to everyone who made this event such a success!!!!!

Thank you to Wells-Fargo Bank who donated Rockers to every elementary school in the county.  We love it!  It is in the office now until we find the perfect place to put it.  Any ideas?

Thank you Danielle Friel and Gloria Pubantz!  I do not know if you have noticed but the two book rooms in the office have gone through great transformations.  Many books were just dumped there and were piled high.  The books covered the floors of both rooms.  They were an eyesore and a fire hazard.  These ladies have been using the wagon and some elbow grease to reorganize these rooms.  THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!  You are appreciated!  Thank you to everyone else who lent a hand in this process.  We truly appreciate you.

THANK YOU AMANDA for displaying student's art at the Dixie Classic Fair and at the mall!  This takes a lot of work also, but the children and their parents love seeing the art displayed.  Amanda won some ribbons for her art work at the fair.  Way to Go!!!

We sure have been doing a lot of this lately. It takes a lot of planning and preparation for this so thank you Gloria for all your hard work  for all the pre-prep work and scheduling and thanks to everyone  for being so dilligent, professional and patient during this process.  We really need everyone when we are testing so THANK YOU!  You all are awesome.

THANK YOU MS. PULLEN FOR BEING OUR UNITED WAY CHAIR! You did an outstanding job. We exceeded our goal.  HOORAY!!!!!!! 

A special thanks to Tryla and Cassandra for facilitating our  science fair collaboration with Wake Forest School of Medicine and CERTL.  The first parent meeting was held last Thursday Night.  There will be another meeting on Saturday the 19th from 9:00 to 11:00. Fliers and more science fair information will go out this week.
